Greetings from the National Diet Library (NDL) of Japan.

The NDL has integrated two of its web services—the National Diet Library Online Search and Request Service (NDL Online) and the NDL Search—and launched them as the new NDL Search web service on January 5, 2024.
The URL for the top page is "https://ndlsearch.ndl.go.jp/en/"

The NIJL/EAJRS Kuzushi-ji Workshop will be held between 17 and 19 April 2024 at University of Strasbourg. Please note that this year’s workshop will NOT be online. The workshop is free of charge. If you would like to participate the workshop, please fill in the application form, and submit it by email attachment to a.hirano@sainsbury-institute.org by 4 February. Registration is closed.

(1) Integration of the NDL Online and NDL Search web services

The NDL plans to integrate two of its current web services: the National Diet Library Online Search and Request Service (NDL Online) and the NDL Search. These two will be launched as a new NDL Search web service in January 2024.

The National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) and European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS) would like to invite you to the newly inaugurate Kotenseki Seminar. This seminar series covers various topics related to Japanese pre-modern materials. The online lectures will be given by a researcher from NIJL in Japanese. No English translation will be given.
